“There’s the life for a man like me…”

May 29, 2009 · Leave a Comment

I will be giving a recital in collaboration with pianist Steven Gathman on Sunday, August 30th, 2009, at The Lyceum in Old Town Alexandria. The performance will begin at 7 pm.

The repertoire explores the inner and outer lives of male characters through English-language works for voice and piano, beginning with one of Shakespeare’s greatest fools and ending with a character who challenges the very notion of what it is to be a man.

Works by Benjamin Britten, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Rodgers & Hammerstein, John Duke, and William Bolcom.

Check back here for more details as the date gets closer!
